Why are there different ways to define connectors in Krugle for TFS code and TFS Work Items?

Krugle uses the TFS SCM client to access the latest code revisions and the Microsoft JAVA SDK to access work items. These are different interfaces provided by Microsoft and each represent the most efficient way currently available to access the respective information.
